Don't try to fool the internet, because xQc will come for you eventually.
The streamer and former FaZe member Silky recently made headlines after streaming himself speeding on a highway. While he tried to play it down, xQc says there is little room for debate once you watch the clip closely.
Streamer Silky Faces Backlash After xQc Highlights Possible 100+ mph Speed In Clip
Streams and cars are rarely a good combination. The latest example for that is the recent controversy around the streamer Silky, who streamed himself driving on a highway while cutting through traffic. Naturally, this sparked massive backlash within the streaming community. One of the streamers who criticized what Silky did was xQc. He called his behavior "cringe" and said he was endangering other people on the highway. Silky posted a response on X, in which he said:
"What a bot, bro said I was pushing my car past its limit, I was going 70 in a 65 with minimal traffic LMAO, I wouldn't put anyone's lives at risk for dopamine rush gang."
With that being said, xQc had to revisit the clips of Silky to prove his point. So xQc, once again, activated detective mode, and he found some frames in the clip that suggest he was going over 100 mph rather than 70:
"I don't want to be a narc, you're already going 107[...] it went 115."
He posted the picture where you can see something that appears to be a speed display showing "107" as a reply to Silky's post on X.
However, he wasn't the only popular streamer who spoke out about the situation. In one of his streams, Asmongold covered the topic, commenting:
"I’d prob at least give him a warning. You can't drive like this on stream. It’s very unsafe... if there was a cop there, do you think this guy would get arrested? He probably would... I try to be liberal with this kind of stuff... it is reckless driving. Somebody driving like this is really dangerous on the road."
So, the community is certainly not impressed with that kind of behavior. There are so many cool ideas for IRL streams, but speeding on a highway is certainly not one of them. Let's just hope that was the last time we had to write about the streamer speeding, yet I have a feeling that this will remain wishful thinking.
