Logan Paul thinks he is on the level of an NFL pro, but Tom Brady gave him a reality check.
The recent episode of Impaulsive was wild, to say the least. With a flood of stars joining the podcast for short interviews, one guest in particular stood out, because when two athletes meet, a clash of egos is sometimes inevitable.
Confidence Meets Championships On Impaulsive
The episode featured a wide array of celebrities, including Tiffany Haddish, streamer Ray and even the football legend himself, Tom Brady. The former quarterback of the New England Patriots joined the podcast for a short interview. At first, Brady, Logan Paul and Mike Majlak talked about his life after retirement. From Brady’s perspective, the greatest key to his success was the people who surrounded him. That principle applied both to his football career and to life after it.
However, the tone shifted when Logan Paul mentioned the upcoming Fanatics Flag Football Classic in Riyadh:
“Last thing I’ll ask you. I’m told that I’m being flown out to Saudi Arabia to compete in a Fanatics flag football game with you.”
Brady answered in a slightly taunting manner:
“Yeah. You know what? I’m actually a little worried for you because I know – well, you’re a good athlete, but these guys are another level.”
Of course, Logan Paul responded with confidence:
“I am the highest level. I am the level.”
Brady bluntly replied:
“No, you’re not the level.”
Logan then referred to his achievements in the WWE, but Tom Brady still did not seem impressed:
“It’s cute. It’s a great show. I love WWE. It’s very cute. But honestly, this is like real football. This is real competition.”
At that point, Logan Paul brought up his former football success:
“I was an all state linebacker. I rushed for 1,200 yards, 19 touchdowns my senior year.”
Brady shut that down by reminding his host that he had won seven Super Bowls in his career and that the past does not matter, only the next game does.
However, the tone shifted once again as the two acknowledged that they might end up as teammates. Even though Logan Paul admitted that he had not practiced his routes, Brady maintained a positive mindset toward the competition:
“Look, I’m focused and I want us to win. And if you’re on my team, then look, we’re going to be best friends, bro.”
With that, the interview ended on a positive note. Still, Tom Brady emphasized his stance even further with a post on X:
“I hope people understand the level of competition this game is going to be. If you’re on my team you’re going to be locked in, all out, and we’re going to not just win… but dominate. I do think Logan Paul has the right attitude and the effort will be there. How far that gets him will remain to be seen.”
He later even joked about the situation with another post, saying:
“I was having a great morning and now I’m mad.”
In the end, a big ego in sports is nothing new, but backing it up is another story. Boasting about high school achievements in front of a seven-time Super Bowl champion might not be the right move, though.
