Jake and Logan Paul are fighting over politics – one of them stated he turned off Bad Bunny's halftime show in protest, the other one calls him out for it.
Over Super Bowl Sunday, Jake and Logan Paul have found themselves fighting with each other online.
The Potentially Most Controversial Brothers On YouTube
The Paul brothers Jake and Logan have been in the public eye for many years. They started off as only YouTubers and have since found their way into different side quests But one thing always remained: Logan and Jake are prone to being the center of online drama. Now, the two have been seen fighting over Bad Bunny's halftime show at the 2026 Super Bowl. The musician Bad Bunny is known for his political messages in his otherwise feelgood dance music. Jake Paul seemed to dislike Bad Bunny's show and posted about how he would purposefully turn it off:

Let's rally together and show big corporations they can't just do whatever they want without consequences
(which equals viewership for them)
You are their benefit. Realize you have power.
Turn off this halftime. A fake American...
Naturally, this sparked a lot of outrage. Not only are people upset with him for apparently agreeing with right-wing politicians calling to turn off the show, in the Tweet, Jake Paul also called Bad Bunny a "fake American". The musician, who also goes by Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, is Puerto Rican. While a lot of people claim he is therefore not actually American, Puerto Ricans are officially US citizens.
Backlash From All Sides
After the initial statement, Jake Paul received a lot of backlash, not only from the internet but also from his own brother. Logan Paul quoted his brother's original statement to clarify his own stance on the situation:
I love my brother but I don't agree with this

Puerto Ricans are Americans & I'm happy they were given the opportunity to showcase the talent that comes from the island https://t.co/yCsuwa79gk
This made Logan Paul look a lot better than Jake Paul in the eyes of many, which might have also prompted Jake Paul's response after that. The YouTuber and boxer tried to clarify that he did not want to imply that Bad Bunny is not an American because he is from Puerto Rico, but that his stance on ICE was the actual problem. Jake claimed that people who don't support ICE could not be real Americans and that he, therefore, can not support them.
But he even started backpedaling on that. The next day he commented on the topic yet again:
Guys i love bad bunny idk what happened on my twitter last night ?? wtf

Attempted Damage Control
It might be all the punches to his face he is taking during his boxing matches that are getting to Jake Paul or his YouTuber intuition inspiring him to do damage control, but seeing him contradict himself so much left a lot of users baffled.
But Logan Paul also seemed to contradict himself. In an interview before the match, he was asked whether he was excited for the halftime show, he promptly replied with a sharp, dismissive No, which many saw as a form of dislike towards the artist:
