Midas has returned with the latest Fortnite update. With him comes the new "Ascendant Midas" skin. We'll show you how to get it even for free.
Midas is making a comeback in Fortnite and the community loves it. However, the new "Ascendant Midas" skin isn't available yet. The skin will only be available in the Fortnite Item Shop in a few days, but some players will even get it for free if they were among the best players in their region in the Rise of Midas Cup.
When To Get The Rise Of Midas Cup Skin In Fortnite
Epic Games has decided to release the new Ascendant Midas skin a week after the Midas Event launch. Until then, you can complete some challenges to unlock cosmetic items. However, there was also a way to get Midas himself!
Epic Games hosted the "Rise of Midas Cup" on March 24 in a Solo Battle Royale format. Players who unlocked the Midas Cup Skin by placing in the tournament, get the skin on March 26 for free. Besides the "Ascendant Midas" skin, there are additional rewards that will also be available for V-Bucks later on.:
- Back Bling "Cape of the Golden King"
- Pickaxe "The Golden Touch"
- Wrap "Golden Ascent"
To unlock the items, you had to achieve the following ranking in the Cup:
- Europe: The top 2,600 players will receive prizes
- North America: The top 2,000 players will receive prizes
- Brazil: The top 500 players will receive prizes
- Asia: The top 500 players will receive prizes
- Oceania: The top 200 players will receive prizes
- Middle East: The top 200 players will receive prizes
If you didn't make it to the top placements, you'll still get The Rise of Midas Loading Screen as a reward for 8 points. Everyone else will have to spend a few V-Bucks and get the skin in the Item Shop. The skin and all other cosmetics will be available here from March 26 at 8 PM ET.
