Fortnite's competitive game modes allow players to test their skills and prove who's the best in Battle Royale. Epic Games is known for hosting Cash Cups and other competitions to further promote the game's competitive community. And there's always a lot of cash involved. But just because things are going well doesn't mean Epic Games is resting on its laurels.

This article contains all the information about the latest competitive changes.

In just a few weeks, the FNCS Global Championship 2024 will take place and bring this year's FNCS year to a close. To celebrate this culmination of FNCS 2024, Epic Games is hosting a new competitive system called “Champions Road”.

Champions Road Tournaments and Objectives

The Champions Road is a new feature that gives you new skins and other cool items for your performance in tournaments such as Cash Cups or Ranked Cups. Here is a list of all tournaments on the Champions Road and the possible rewards:

Fortnite Ranked Modes

The rank of all players was reset at the beginning of Chapter 5 Season 4 to give everyone a fresh start. Dive into battle now and play a ranked match to receive your new rank (one match for Battle Royale and Zero Build each).

Your rank will be a requirement for participating in tournaments that Epic organizes this season, among other factors.

For Chapter 5 Season 4, Fortnite offers the following ranked modes for Battle Royale:

Battle Royale:

  • Solo
  • Duo
  • Trio
  • Team
Zero Build:
  • Solo
  • Duo

Ranked Cups

The Ranked Cups are also making a comeback. Players will have the opportunity to compete in Battle Royale and Zero Build but unlike usual only in duo format, both in Battle Royale and Zero Build against opponents with similar ranks.

Here's the schedule for the Duo Ranked Cups this season:

  • August 31: Duos Ranked Cup #1
  • September 14: Duos Ranked Cup #2
  • September 21: Duos Ranked Cup #3
  • September 28: Duos Ranked Cup #4
  • October 5: Duos Ranked Cup #5
  • October 12: Duos Ranked Cup #6
  • October 19: Duos Ranked Cup #7
  • October 26: Duos Ranked Cup #8

Cash Cups

What would Fortnite be without its Cash Cups? The well-known "Battle Royale" Duo Cash Cups are back in this season, giving you the opportunity to compete with your duo partner in two rounds of intense Battle Royale competition. To participate in the Cash Cups, you must have at least Gold I rank in Ranked Battle Royale.

Victory Cash Cups

Of course, the Victory Cash Cups are also returning in Chapter 5 Season 4 for Battle Royale in solo format and for Zero Build in duo format! Qualify for Round 2 and then earn a cash prize per epic victory in this round.

To participate in the Victory Cash Cups, you must have at least Gold I rank in the respective ranked modes. You can view the schedule of the Victory Cash Cups in the "Competition" tab of the game.

Performance Evaluations

Additionally, the Performance Evaluations will once again be held weekly on Tuesdays in Season 4. However, there are several new changes:

Firstly, unlike last season, this cup will once again be held in the NA Central region and not just in Europe. Epic Games has also come up with another change to make these tournaments much more competitive. To take part in the tournaments, you now have to have earned Series points in last season's FNCS (Chapter 5 Season 3).

Reload Platform Cash Cups

After Epic Games already hosted the first Reload Cups in Season 3, but without prize money, you now also have the opportunity to earn some money in the Reload mode in Season 4. The Cups are all played in duo format, and you can choose between PC, console and even mobile.

Each Cup will have two rounds taking place on the same day. The top 20 duos in each region will advance to Round 2, with the top ten PC and console duos and the top three mobile duos earning cash prizes.
