The FNCS Global Championship is done and dusted, and we take a look back at all the action and stories this weekend's showdown has given us.
After a year of waiting and three nerve-wracking online FNCS events, it was finally time for the ultimate conclusion to the 2024 season. On September 7 and 8, the 50 best duos from around the world competed against each other at this year's LAN event at Dickies Arena in Texas to get their hands on the new Global Championship trophy.

Peterbot & Pollo Close out Most Dominant Year in Fortnite History
Of course, we start with the duo that took home the victory in the end. Although this duo's victory came as no surprise to anyone from the outset, it was still an incredibly exciting and thrilling finale, with the competition remaining tense until the very last round as only about 40 points separated them from second place.
But as has been the case all year, they stepped up their game when they needed to and took their 5th win from a total of 12 rounds in the final round. Not only did they take the crown at this event, but they also capped off the most dominant year in Fortnite history. 2nd place in Major 1, 1st place Major, 1st place Major 3 and now also 1st place FNCS Global Championship - pure dominance!
But where there is a hard-won winner, there is unfortunately always a bitter loser. In this case, it's once again the European duo of Queasy and ThomasHD. While Queasy just missed out on winning a LAN event for the second time after finishing 2nd at the FNCS Invitational 2022, ThomasHD is widely regarded as the unluckiest Fortnite Pro of all time. He has never won an FNCS despite finishing 3rd 5 times and second 4 times, twice finishing just 1 point behind top spot.
