Big Upgrades for GTA 5 on PC

GTA 5’s long-awaited PC upgrade is finally here, bringing improvements that were previously exclusive to consoles. Players can now enjoy ray tracing, DLSS 3, and FSR 3.0 for better graphics and performance. Faster loading times with DirectStorage ensure a smoother experience. However, these upgrades also mean higher system requirements, so make sure your setup can handle it.

GTA Online also gets new content alongside the update. Console-exclusive vehicles are now available on PC, and the career progress menu has been redesigned. Wildlife returns, allowing players to engage in animal photography once again. Additionally, new missions and a new operations base are now available in GTA Online. These additions make both single-player and online gameplay feel fresh.

How to Transfer Your Save

Want to keep your progress? You’ll need to transfer your save manually. Head to the game menu, find the “Save Upload” option, and send your progress to Rockstar’s servers. Once you install the new version, download your save to continue where you left off. But be warned – this is a one-way transfer, and there’s no going back.

Multiplayer players should also be aware that crossplay with the older version isn’t possible. If your friends haven’t upgraded yet, you won’t be able to join their sessions. The new edition also brings exclusive content, so staying behind means missing out on fresh features. That means those who wanted to take one last lap of honor were right all along.
