At Summer Game Fest 2024, Remedy Entertainment announced the first expansion for their horror game Alan Wake 2. The new adventure, titled Night Springs, was released on June 8, 2024, just one day after its announcement. You can dive into this chilling new experience on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Windows PC (exclusive to the Epic Games Store).
Night Springs takes you on a journey through a mysterious, dark world where reality is altered by Alan Wake's imagination.
Alan Wake 2 Night Springs DLC: A Twisted Mind
As he writes scripts for the Night Springs television show to find a way to escape, he inadvertently distorts reality even further. This expansion comes with three stylized episodes, each featuring familiar characters and locations in entirely new and unexpected roles, all from Alan's imagination.
In 'Number One Fan' you control a more obsessed version of waitress Rose as she takes up arms against Wake's evil doppelganger. 'Time Breaker' features Sheriff Tim Breaker as a multiversal hero hunting the "Master of Many Words." Finally, 'North Star' stars "The Sister," who resembles the director of the Federal Bureau of Control, as she searches for her missing brother in Coffee World.

Each of the three episodes in "Night Springs" includes four new trophies or achievements, offering completionists 12 new challenges to tackle.
The Night Springs expansion is included in the Deluxe Edition of the game. Standard Edition owners can upgrade for an additional 20 Euros. This upgrade will also grant access to the second expansion, "The Lake House," which will be released later this year. This expansion features a plot centered around the secrets of a research station and suspiciously references both the character Sam Lake and Cauldron Lake from Alan Wake 2. A release date for The Lake House has not yet been announced.
