Baldur's Gate 3 is in the news again, this time for its impressive modding success.
Following the release of Patch 7, which introduced official mod support, the game has seen a remarkable response from the community. In less than a day, over a million mods were installed, showing the fan base's appetite for custom content.
Modding Takes Center Stage
The impact of modding on Baldur's Gate 3 is significant, according to Larian Studios CEO Swen Vincke. He shared the exciting news on X (formerly Twitter), underlining the importance of mods for their epic RPG.
Modding is pretty big - we had more than a million mods installed in less than 24 hours.

The newly supported modding platform, mod.io, currently lists 530 mods, many of which have already surpassed 50,000 downloads, with some exceeding 200,000. In addition, Nexusmods features over 9,200 fan creations, a further proof of the thriving modding community.
Some of the many notable mods include ImpUI, which tweaks the user interface to give you more control, and others that expand party sizes, improve character creation options, add animations, or...other silly stuff. And the modding scene promises even more possibilities for players - we are more than excited to see what is yet to come.
