Will we soon be able to download more than just one game on our PlayStation?

The next major update for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone is expected to save a total of 100 GB of memory space. Considering the enormous download size for the combination of Call of Duty and Warzone, it's clear why players will be happy about this news.
Less To Download, More Memory Space
We are referring to update 01.080.000, which is intended to reduce the game's file size.

How exactly the size will be reduced from 126 to 25 GB is not known, but the community is speculating about possible texture compression or the relocation of game packages, which in future will only be available as optional downloads instead of being part of the main game. What is already known is that the Black Ops 6: Multiplayer Pack will be an optional download in the future.
Since PlayStation Game Size's post only refers to PS4 and PS5 download sizes, it remains unknown whether or not the download size for PC will also be reduced, as no information on this is available yet.
It is also not yet clear when the update will go live. However, the mid-season update for Black Ops 6 – Season 5 Reloaded will start on September 4, 2025. The website says not more than the following:
„The Season 5 Reloaded download will be larger on some platforms — we are reorganizing Call of Duty content to prepare for the Black Ops 7 Beta on October 2.“
It is not certain whether the reduced size will actually be included in the mid-season update, but a date in the near future seems realistic.
