Back in 2018 news surfaced about NetEase wanting to have a non-Destiny game developed by Bungie for around $100 Million, followed by a leak in September of this year hinting towards a possible Destiny mobile game.

Yesterday, Bungie and NetEase together announced a new installment in the franchise called Destiny: Rising, and sadly, it is indeed a mobile game.

Destiny coming to mobile

As the trailer reveals, Destiny: Rising is a mobile game, a "brand-new adventure with familiar and new characters" that will launch "an abundance of classic and brand-new modes". It will apparently be the "very first mobile epic sci-fi RPG shooter", and will is set in an "alternate Destiny timeline".

You can now pre-register for an upcoming closed alpha test in November, and for a better look at gameplay, check out the developer preview.

What are your thoughts on Destiny: Rising? Would you give Destiny mobile a try?
