Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra has been officially delayed to early 2026. Originally planned for a 2025 release, the game’s developer, Skydance New Media, has opted to take more time to refine the gameplay, ensuring it meets the high expectations of fans.

What The Game Is About

Set against the backdrop of World War II, Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra will let players step into the boots of four unique characters, each bringing their own strengths and perspectives to the fight against Hydra.

Captain America, also known as Steve Rogers, leads the charge as the first Avenger, known for his unshakable resolve and superhuman strength.

He’s joined by Azzuri, the grandfather of T'Challa, who leads Wakanda's efforts in the global conflict as the Black Panther of his time.

Gabriel Jones, a soldier from the Howling Commandos skilled in traditional combat and military tactics, and Nanali, the head of the Wakandan Spy Network known for her mastery of stealth and intelligence gathering, complete the ensemble cast.

The game will take players through occupied Paris and the hidden kingdom of Wakanda, as these heroes work together to take down Hydra’s evil plans.

The Tech Behind The Game

Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra is being developed using Unreal Engine 5, one of the most advanced game engines available. This choice means the game is set to feature amazing visuals, lifelike physics, and richly detailed environments that capture both the chaos of World War II and the beauty of Wakanda.

Why The Delay?

Skydance New Media explained that the decision to delay the game was made to ensure a high-quality experience: "We want to deliver a game that truly captures the spirit of the Marvel Universe and gives players an unforgettable journey. Taking a bit more time will help us achieve that."

While delays can be disappointing, this statement reflects a commitment to quality over speed.
