A 48-year-old British man has been jailed for swinging a replica of The Legend of Zelda's Master Sword on the streets of Nuneaton, England.

Quest For Justice: Swinging Swords And Serving Time

The man, who was caught on CCTV brandishing the six-inch blade, was quickly apprehended by police, resulting in him being jailed for four months and fined around £154 under the UK's strict knife laws."We have a zero-tolerance policy for knives in public," said Sgt. Spellman of Warwickshire Police. Although the man claimed in court that the Zelda sword replica was merely a "fidget toy" to calm restless fingers, the man's criminal record and the length of the sword's blade sealed his fate.

“It is possible to find fidget toys that aren’t six-inch blades. It is possible not to walk down the street holding them out in front of you. With a bit more self-awareness, Bray could have avoided contact with us completely,”

adds Sgt. Spellman.

The incident may have sparked a debate about the interpretation of weapon laws and the practicality of using fantasy swords to relieve stress in public. For now, aspiring heroes in the UK may want to stick to safer ways to relieve boredom without crossing legal boundaries.

Next optional quest: Convince Sergeant Spellman to give you the "Open Cell" spell, or pickpocket him for the cell keys.

No, don't do that.
