Three producers in competition to produce a Netflix game show based on the classic board game Monopoly.

According to Deadline, three companies – Studio Lambert, Wheelhouse, and Endemol Shine North America – are engaged in an intense race for the production rights to the planned Netflix game show.
Earlier this year, Netflix signed a deal with Hasbro Entertainment for the rights to Monopoly and now plans to launch its own game show based on the popular board game.
A Promising Game Show
At the beginning of the summer, the competition to produce Monopoly as a game show was one of the most talked-about topics in the reality TV industry. An estimated 50 production companies submitted creative concepts for an adaptation. Three of them are now being considered for the production of the game show.
Studio Lambert
Studio Lambert is a British television production company known for numerous projects, including award-winning hits such as Undercover Boss, Gogglebox, The Traitors UK, Race Across the World, The Circle, and the reality competition show Squid Game: The Challenge, for which Studio Lambert has already collaborated with Netflix.
Wheelhouse
Wheelhouse Studios is one of the central production companies of the Wheelhouse Group and has also collaborated with Netflix on several projects. Wheelhouse was responsible for formats such as Million Dollar Secret and Got to Get Out, among others.
Endemol Shine North America
Endemol Shine North America produces and distributes various television formats and digital content and has already produced numerous well-known formats, including Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, The Summit, Lego Masters, and Deal or No Deal Island.
Jeff Gaspin from Netflix spoke about the potential he sees in Monopoly and mentioned Monopoly Go!, saying its gameplay „really will resonate with gameplay in an unscripted series.” The concept for the game show based on the classic board game is yet to be decided.
