Even after hiring big shots in the gaming industry, Netflix has shut down their game studio "Team Blue". Let's find out more.

Netflix tried once more to get into the gaming industry and, yet again, failed.
Team Blue shut down
"Team Blue" was the creative name of Netflix's game studio, with which they hoped to finally find success in the gaming scene.
Netflix has already produced a handful of original video content inspired by, or in cooperation with, larger games — productions like Cyberpunk: Edgerunners and Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft are prime examples. But they have found it much harder to produce games themselves.
For Team Blue, Netflix hired various big shots from the gaming industry, wanting to create a triple-A game with their talents.
Namely, Chacko Sonny, executive producer of Overwatch, who would be the lead at Team Blue, Joseph Straten, the creative lead in the Halo games, and Rafael Grassetti, God of War's passionate art director.
But as of October 2024, Team Blue has been shut down and all the folks Netflix hired to work in it have been let go.
