CD Projekt Red and Netflix have announced a new cyberpunk project, but they're keeping it under wraps for now.
At Geeked Week 2024, we got a ton of new announcements from Netflix, including news about another Cyberpunk anime project.
Cyberpunk Edgerunners Season 2 incoming?
We were shown a teaser trailer that confirms Netflix are working on a new anime set in the Cyberpunk universe. This announcement quite naturally made fans of the previous Netflix-Cyberpunk series, Edgerunners, pretty hyped. However, we don't think this is going to be a second season of Edgerunnuners, we expect it to be more like a spinoff show.

We believe a second season of Cyberpunk Edgerunners is unlikely, given the ending of the first season, but maybe we could get a spin-off involving some of the minor characters?
Or, they could just tell a completely different story of Night City, we simply don't know at this point.
We're thrilled to see Night City come to life in such a gorgeous way again. It's a shame we don't have a release date yet, but we will keep you posted.
