The leaks have been confirmed, as Nintendo Direct is coming today at 6:00 a.m. PT / 9:00 a.m. ET

Well-known leaker Nate The Hate already hinted on July 14 that there would be a Nintendo Direct this month. We finally have confirmation, and Nintendo has indeed waited until the very last day. The Nintendo Direct will take place today at 6 a.m. PT and is expected to last 25 minutes. However, instead of Metroid Prime 4, we can look forward to other titles.
No First Party Direct
Today's Nintendo Direct is a partner showcase. This means that no games from Nintendo will be presented. So no Mario, Zelda, or a release date for the eagerly awaited Metroid Prime 4. Instead, third-party developers will be able to show what they have in store for the Switch 2.
And we are definitely excited as to what they are going to show. We could see Switch 2 versions of popular games such as The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt or Star Wars: Outlaws. But above all, the long-awaited Hollow Knight: Silksong could finally have more information available. How about a release date, please?
It has been quiet for a long time around the new Hollow Knight sequel. But at the Switch 2 Direct in April, we did get a very brief five seconds of gameplay and a release date of 2025. So it's not unlikely that the successor to the indie giant will be represented here.
Some Hate For Nate
When it came to light that the Nintendo Direct is a partner showcase, many turned against leaker Nate The Hate. They wondered why he didn't mention that this is not a first party Direct. The reason for this is quite simple, however.
NatetheHate clarifies what his sources are told in advance of a Nintendo Direct. by u/Frankospaghetti in GamingLeaksAndRumours
Nate's insider source was one of the invited third party developers. However, they are only told that they are included in a Direct, not what kind of Direct it is. Whether first or third party, it will be exciting to see what's in store for the Switch 2.
What are your expectations for today's Direct? Which games are you hoping will be announced soon?
