According to a leaker who goes by the name "Brazil", Nintendo are looking for 3rd-party studios to work on a series of remasters for the Switch. This is apparently so that fans have something to play while Nintendo themselves finish up work on the Switch 2.

The Nintendo Switch has been remarkably successful; with well over 140 million units sold, it's the third best-selling console of all time.
Naturally, then, rumors about the next generation of the Switch always create a buzz. Most of them turn out to be nonsense, but with Nintendo themselves now discussing the console, we're confident we only have a few years left to wait.
Exciting indeed, but before the Switch 2 arrives, fans will still need games to play. And with Nintendo's own devs hard at work on the next generation, who is going to keep pumping out games for the original Switch?
Nintendo courting 3rd-party studios
A leaker called Brazil is claiming that, since Nintendo are so focused on the Switch 2, they are asking 3rd-party studios to work on remasters, which will give fans something to play in the meantime. Here are the remasters he explicitly mentions:
- Splinter Cell Blacklist
- Rayman 3
- Driver 1 + 2
Brazil might not be the biggest leaker in the industry, but he was the first to predict the correct date of the Nintendo Direct a few months ago, and he was also the first to mention the internal delay of the Switch 2, which was later corroborated by bigger names.
We're quite confident in his information, but you should of course still take all leaks with a grain of salt.
Are you excited by the prospect of remasters to ties us over until the Switch 2 is here? And when do you think we'll finally get the next generation of Nintendo's innovative console?
