Leakers claim that Rockstar will release another game before GTA 6 comes out – again.

We can look forward to GTA 6 next year – there are constantly new leaks and theories, and we soak up every bit of information like a sponge. But according to a well-known leaker and YouTuber, another Rockstar game is set to be released first.
Rockstar Has More To Offer Than GTA
By now, waiting for GTA 6 feels almost painful. We got the first trailer and announcement back in late 2023. And while many are still enjoying GTA 5 Online or the previous titles, Rockstar's other open-world adventure is sometimes overlooked.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is often hailed as one of the best-told stories in a video game. So it's no surprise that mods for the game continue to be created to this day, keeping the game and the community behind it alive.

After Many Years, Finally A Remaster?
But now the rumor mill is buzzing: According to respected leaker and YouTuber NateTheHate, who has already predicted several releases such as Oblivion: Remastered, a new statement has now been made about the popular Rockstar classic. Apparently, a "next-gen" update of Red Dead Redemption 2 is set to be released a few months after the Switch 2, so probably later this year. “Next-gen” here refers, of course, to the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S/X, even though these have been around for several years. Speculation suggests that this could bring higher-resolution textures and a few tweaks, as may be the case with Grand Theft Auto 5: Enhanced Edition.

The Community Is Skeptical
Opinions are mixed in the comments. On one hand, gamers are laughing and crying about the fact that the so-called "next generation" is already half a decade old. They believe that it should have come much earlier. After all, the next PlayStation is apparently scheduled for release in the next two years. Others are happy about these rumors – they see the speculated re-release as the first opportunity to play the game in the quality it deserves.
What do you think? Will you play Red Dead Redemption 2 again when it looks even better?
