A quiet northern town, suspicious neighbors, and a pickup that’s somehow your most reliable partner – welcome to I Want to Believe.

A quiet northern U.S. town. Strange neighbors. Possibly aliens. And you? You’re the new kid in town with a trusty pickup truck and a camera, but your skill set is limited. Your mission is to figure out who’s human and who’s not, and to quietly deal with the latter.
Driving, Detecting, And Dealing With Aliens
I Want to Believe is a first-person action game that juggles detective work, stealth, simulation, driving, and a surprising amount of player freedom. The open world is large enough to get lost in while chasing clues or simply enjoying your country radio station on wheels. Yes, your pickup truck doubles as a fully-fledged radio with its own host and playlists created specifically for the game.
Your character isn’t a prodigy. Besides driving, you rely on your wit, curiosity, and occasional luck. You’ll earn money by joining local clubs for tips, photographing anything suspicious, and pinning your findings on an investigation board until the alien puzzle starts to make sense. When the time comes to neutralize the extraterrestrials, do it cleanly. No witnesses. Leave no evidence. The police will still think you’re exaggerating.
Beyond the alien hunting, there is a lot to explore in the town itself. With side activities, weird locals, and hidden secrets, it’s a playground for anyone who enjoys a little freedom and paranoia.
The game just launched and looks very promising. It’s expansive and packed with detail. Right now, it’s on sale for under $15. If you’ve ever wanted to save humanity from disguised aliens while driving a pickup truck and listening to country music, you'll love this game.
