McMillen announced coop mode for The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth's tenth anniversary.
Ten years are what it took for Rebirth players to finally get what they were asking for: a coop mode. And now, it's finally here... almost.
The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth's anniversary
On November 4, the iconic game's creator Edmund McMillen posted the good news on his X / Twitter account. He stated that, to celebrate the anniversary properly, they are putting the game on a 50% off sale on Steam. The same goes for all the DLCs.

Together with it, they announced the new online coop mode! According to McMillen, it will launch on November 18 and will be completely free.
The coop update will not just bring online coop, but also new completion markers and a bunch of balance fixes that "heavily [focus] on buffing items you guys believe are lackluster/bad."
Underneath his post, McMillen also shared a lot of concept arts, cutscene storyboards and even the creation process of some bosses. It's fascinating to take a look at these and see what stuck and what got changed for the final version of the game.
Sadly, there have not been any concrete patch notes, but that might change in the very near future!
