On their Q3 results stream, the CEOs of CD Projekt give us insights into the production of Polaris.

CD Projekt sometimes gives the public financial and production updates, so people are caught up on what game is in what development stage and how much income another game brings the studio. This month's update gave us some insight on the production of Polaris!
CD Projekt reveals that Polaris is entering the production stage
Polaris, also referred to as The Witcher 4, is going to be the next big game produced by CD Projekt, the studio behind the previous Witcher games and Cyberpunk 2077.
In their Q3 update, they announced that Polaris just finished up pre-production and is now entering the major part of development: the production phase.
"I'm pleased to announce that several weeks ago [Polaris] moved to full-scale production," said Piotr Nielubowicz, chief financial officer of CD Projekt in the Q3 results video.
"Of all our projects, this one is currently the most far along, and we're starting the most intensive phase of development. I wish to thank the team for its effort, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed for further progress."
The number of developers working on Polaris has slightly reduced from 410 to 400, but CEO Michał Nowakowski reassures us that this is a normal occurrence and that they merely shifted developers around "to meet the current needs of the production phase."
"Ahead of us lies the main and most intense stage of development, which is the production phase. We'll now scale the solutions we have developed and validated thus far across the entire game," Nowakowski also stated in the Q3 2024 earnings conference that was streamed live just yesterday.
Nowakowski further explained that now that they have the baselines of the game set — such as the main story, the core game mechanics and such — and know what their end goal is, they need to start filling in the blanks.
This will be the longest part of the production, so they calmly evaded any questions regarding a release date or anything of the sort. Perhaps, only when they've reached the polishing stage of production, will they reveal a release date to us.
