Where Winds Meet is packed with content and the new roadmap for January 2026 makes it clear that the developers are continuing to pick up the pace.
Where Winds Meet Reveals January Roadmap With Weekly Updates
The new roadmap for January was announced via X and brings several new pieces of content that many players are likely to look forward to. Starting in January, the game will receive weekly updates, offering numerous new ways to experience Where Winds Meet.
Things kick off on January 4. On that day, the solo level cap will be raised to level 10. In addition, a new ten-player endgame activity, Hero’s Realm: Sorrow of Mortalbound, will be added to the game.
Just four days later, on January 8, the next wave of content arrives. Update version 1.2 introduces new Legacy Quests, a new world boss called Nameless General, and the Jianghu Martial Games event.
The third week of January is especially packed with content. On January 15, a new puzzle dungeon called Mistveil Prison opens its doors. One day later, on January 16, the 30v30 guild battles begin, a date PvP-focused players in particular should keep an eye on. Finally, on January 22, a brand-new region, the Nine Mortal Ways Base, will be unlocked.
More content arrives in the final week of January. On January 25, the new story Whispers Beneath the Moon will be released, accompanied by the New Year event Year of Abundance. The roadmap concludes on January 29 with the so-called Season End Dash.
An MMO For Every Type Of Player
Looking at the roadmap, it becomes clear that the upcoming content covers a wide range of activities. Where Winds Meet has quickly built a reputation for offering an exceptionally broad variety of gameplay elements.
Whether you prefer a more relaxed role-playing experience, diving headfirst into every boss fight in typical Soulslike fashion, or playing together with other players or even competing against them, the game gives you the freedom to do all of that.
In addition, Where Winds Meet is completely free to play and hides virtually no progression that affects gameplay behind real-money payments. This combination has played a major role in helping the MMO build a player base of around 15 million players.
