Wolfenstein – A Franchise That Shines New Light On History
The Wolfenstein franchise found its beginning in 1981 with Castle Wolfenstein and wasn't yet part of Bethesda. The games have been dealing with the topic of the Nazis and a possible alternate reality we could have lived in. What could have gone differently back then?
As a player it is your task to stop the Nazis with force. This concept has quickly gained so much popularity that a TV series with Prime Video is in the works, as stated by Windows Central. It also states:
The story of killing Nazis is evergreen.
Therefore it does not come as a shock that a new part of the franchise is supposed to come out.
What Do We Know About Wolfenstein 3 So Far?
So far Bethesda has not made an official announcement yet, which is why we don't have a release date or any idea what exactly the plot of the game could be. According to Windows Central, another game is in fact a possibility in light of the Wolfenstein series, but the article does not go into further detail about potentially more specific information. Kotaku, however, confirms the rumors around part 3 form its own sources.
But until Bethesda announces the game themselves (ideally along with the Wolfenstein TV series) we still have to wait for any additional information. Rest assured we'll keep you updated!
