In the new Soulslike from China, we take on the role of Wuchang, an experienced pirate warrior who suffers from amnesia. Our heroine looks very different from the monkey of Black Myth: Wukong, but the parallels are obvious. Will it be as great of a hit?

The next big gaming hit from China?

WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers launches in 2025 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC and will be available on Game Pass on day one. The story takes place in the land of Shu during the dark and turbulent late Ming Dynasty. Warring factions stand in the way, as well as monstrous creatures born of a mysterious disease.

The trailer, which was shown at the Xbox Partner Preview event, already reveals that, unlike Wukong, we will get to play with a variety of weapons. We see our heroine fighting with two one-handed swords, a staff that works like an automatic rifle, and even a flamethrower!

It seems to be a faster Soulslike game which, like Wokung, will force you to play very offensively. So far, so good, but that's really all we know at this point.

What is your first impression of Wuchang: Fallen Feathers? Are you already hungry for a new Soulslike?
