In an interview with Epic Games, Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford confirmed that the new Borderlands game is in development.
With the release of the Borderlands movie, fans are excited about the franchise once again.
And the wait for a new title entering the post-apocalyptic shooter franchise might not be as long as you think.
The Next Borderlands Game Is In Development
Gearbox CEO, Randy Pitchford, sat down with the Epic Games to talk about the history of Borderlands and the Borderlands movie.
The question that most fans wanted answered was eventually asked. Is the company working on a sequel?
Luckily, Pitchford replied:
Of course we are. There's a moment when we're ready, and we can and will announce something because that's the moment to make a public promise. We're working on lots of Borderlands.
We couldn't be more excited about this!
Gearbox's other properties, could likely get some new games as well, for example Risk of Rain and Duke Nukem.
There is a chance that we could get some kind of announcement at Gamescom 2024, which would be awesome.
But until then, as always, we can only wait and see.
