10 RAID: Shadow Legends Tips Experienced Players Wish They Had Known Earlier

RAID: Shadow Legends is one of those games where many mistakes only become obvious months later.

Almost every experienced player knows the feeling of looking back at their old account and realizing they could have progressed much faster with the knowledge they have today.

That’s why we looked at the advice that repeatedly appears in community discussions, Reddit threads, and veteran guides. Some of these tips are aimed at newer players, while others would have saved even experienced accounts a huge amount of time, resources, and frustration.

Here are ten things many long-time RAID players wish they had known much earlier.

1. Get your first champion to 6 stars as quickly as possible

Many new players spread their resources across several champions at the same time.

Experienced players almost always recommend the opposite approach: focus on getting your first champion to 6 stars as early as possible.

A single fully developed champion provides significantly more value than several half-finished 5-star champions. Campaign farming, Dungeons, and overall progression become much easier once you have a strong 6-star carry.

2. Speed matters more than you think

If veteran players could choose only one stat, many would probably choose Speed.

New players often focus on Attack, Defense, or HP first. Later on, however, it becomes clear that taking more turns is often more valuable than slightly stronger individual abilities.

Faster champions place buffs earlier, control fights more effectively, and often deal more overall damage during longer encounters.

That’s why Speed Boots remain one of the most valuable pieces of gear in the entire game.

3. Clan Boss is one of the most important activities in RAID

Many players ignore Clan Boss for far too long.

In reality, Clan Boss remains one of the best long-term sources of:

  • Shards
  • Skill Books
  • Gems
  • silver
  • and other valuable resources

The earlier you build a stable Clan Boss team, the more your entire account benefits in the long run.

4. Dragon is usually the best first Dungeon to focus on

New players often want to farm every Dungeon at once.

Most experienced players recommend focusing on one area at a time.

Dragon provides some of the most important gear sets in the game, including Speed and Lifesteal gear. These sets help almost every account and often form the foundation for progression elsewhere.

That’s why Dragon is commonly recommended as the first major Dungeon focus.

5. Don’t waste your Skill Books

Skill Books are among the most valuable resources in RAID.

Legendary Books in particular are often much harder to obtain than new champions.

Because of that, veteran players regularly recommend investing Books only into champions that will provide long-term value for your account.

An impulsive decision today can become surprisingly expensive months later.

6. Stats are often more important than gear sets

Many new players focus too heavily on completing specific sets.

Experienced players know that item stats are often more important than the set bonus itself.

A champion with strong Speed, Accuracy, Crit Rate, or Crit Damage stats will frequently outperform a champion wearing the “correct” set with weak overall stats.

Especially during the early and mid game, the rule is often: stats first, sets second.

7. Masteries can completely transform an account

Many players initially underestimate how impactful Masteries really are.

Talents such as Warmaster and Giant Slayer can dramatically increase damage against Clan Boss and other bosses.

Because of that, many experienced players consider Minotaur farming one of the most important early investments.

Masteries may not look exciting at first, but they often create some of the biggest progression jumps an account can experience.

8. Take the Great Hall seriously

Many players initially view Arena as simply a PvP mode.

Long-term, however, the Great Hall becomes one of the most important account-wide progression systems in the game.

Every Medal invested improves your account permanently and helps everywhere:

  • Dungeons
  • Clan Boss
  • Hydra
  • Doom Tower
  • and many other areas

Players who invest in the Great Hall early often continue benefiting from those upgrades years later.

9. Save resources for events and fusions

New players usually open Shards immediately. Veterans often do the exact opposite.

Many successful accounts deliberately save:

  • Ancient Shards
  • Sacred Shards
  • Gems
  • Energy
  • and Books

for major events and fusion opportunities.

This often leads to much stronger long-term progression than spending resources impulsively. In RAID, patience is often one of the most valuable resources of all.

10. Don’t chase every new champion

One of the most common mid-game mistakes is treating every new Epic or Legendary champion as the next major project.

Of course, some champions can immediately improve an account. In many cases, however, the next big progression jump comes from better gear, higher Speed stats, completed Masteries, or improved team compositions.

That’s why many veteran players recommend evaluating every new champion carefully: does this champion actually solve a problem on my account right now?

If the answer is no, it is often smarter to improve existing teams rather than immediately starting another champion project. Many experienced players say something along the lines of: your next progression jump is more likely to come from better gear than from your next champion.

What this means for Lootday users

Many of the tips in this list focus on long-term planning rather than short-term decisions.

That’s exactly why progression-based games on Lootday often appeal to players who enjoy steadily building an account over time. Games like RAID: Shadow Legends, Whiteout Survival, or Game of Thrones: Legends frequently reward exactly this kind of long-term progress.
