A recent Tweet by actor Ryan Reynolds reveals Gambit in a deleted scene from Deadpool & Wolverine.
Gambit is one of the most beloved characters from the X-Men franchise, and fans were overjoyed to see Channing Tatum's cameo in Deadpool & Wolverine.
The actor recently went on Jimmy Fallon, and made it clear just how much he loved playing the role. He would apparently do almost anything for a standalone Gambit movie.
Channing Tatum As Gambit
On Jimmy Fallon's late night show, Channing Tatum revealed that he was supposed to star in a Gambit movie. Sadly, due to Fox being bought by Disney, the movie was scrapped.
Tatum continued by saying that Marvel's Kevin Feige told him that he would have to figure out how to fit a Gambit story into the current state of the MCU.
He literally was like, 'I love Gambit. I just don't know how to do it right now. I don't know how [Gambit] fits into what we're doing. So I need to have a minute to figure it out.'
Tatum stated that he's now a bit more optimistic about the movie happening.
He jokingly said:
I would kill kittens... I would do lots of terrible things to make that happen.
Tatum also mentioned how grateful he was to Ryan Reynolds, who made his appearance in Deadpool & Wolverine happen.
It was just nothing and nowhere and he was like, 'I want this for you, I want this in the movie, and I want to see it.'
Speaking of Reynolds, the actor just posted a deleted scene on X that makes the Gambit movie a likely possibility.
Gambit Is Alive!
Following the events of Deadpool & Wolverine, it was not clear, whether Gambit survived the void.
The deleted scene that Ryan Reynolds posted on X, reveals that Gambit is very much alive!
