One wedding goer, and clearly a fan of the Gundam series, misunderstood what it means to "suit up" for a wedding... or did he?

While seeing people dressed in their favorite anime characters is nothing new, most of the time you will encounter them either at conventions or other anime-related events. It seems like one huge Gundam fan decided to show off their love for the series at a more formal event, though.

A recent post on Twitter/X has gone viral, where a user showcased their epic Gundam cosplay which he decided to wear to a wedding. Is this the new meaning for "suiting up"?

Gundam Fan Reveals Wedding Suit Of A New Kind

Twitter/X user Zgokzogok showed off his look in a viral post on the site. In it, he is seen dressed to impress at the iconic RX-78-2 Gundam from the 1978 series which kicked off the Gundam franchise. It's a great look, but not one you would expect to find at a wedding.

He also wrote that "[he] was asked to wear a suit to the wedding reception, so [he] came in a mobile suit." Truly iconic behavior. We can see him towering over all other wedding guests drinking a glass of wine.

Judging by the image, it seems like the wedding reception didn't call for too formal attire. In the background of the image, someone is also seen wearing a Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Disk, so it seems like the wedding might have had an interesting and unique anime theme of some sort.
