In the wake of Arcane's immense success, the Apex Legends TV show is starting to gather steam. Here's everything we know so far about the show and the release date.
When we talk about Apex, we're usually talking about the work that the game designers do, and especially the balancing team. But we shouldn't overlook the incredible work the writers and artists do. These are the folks that make us fall in love with our mains; they breathe life into the world of Apex Legends.
The artists and writers at Respawn do a particularly impressive job. The characters in Apex are complex, diverse, and rarely annoying. But so far, they've only been able to flex their creative muscles in short films and trailers. Now, it seems they're working on something much bigger for the Legends...
Is The Apex TV Show Confirmed?
No, an Apex TV Show is not confirmed, but it's highly suspected; a few years ago, the Apex devs said openly they wanted to make one, and more recently, they've left very suspicious tweets that hint at one. Let's start following this bread trail of evidence.
Here was what game director Chad Grenier said back in 2020:
Yeah, I would love to do that. That sounds awesome. A Netflix animated series of Apex? Sign me up! I think right now we are focused on making the game but heck, if someone wants to pitch me something I'll listen
So, they were at least on board with the concept a couple of years ago. Then, Arcane was released.
Every League expert we had at the office, and a great many of our LoL readers, were completely blown away by the quality of the show. But then, even people who weren't LoL fans started to watch, including a lot of the Apex community, and we got treated to a fan-made trailer for what an Apex Legends version of Arcane would look like.
In response to that fan-made trailer, a lot of the Apex writers began sending curious Tweets, and the most obvious one really gave the game away:

We haven't had a follow-up to this statement yet, so don't get too excited. It seems like the Apex show wasn't ready to be revealed in January 2022, but that said, we're convinced they're working on it. And we all know it's going to slap when it does get released.
When Will The Apex TV Show Be Released?
The Apex TV show hasn't been announced or revealed yet, so it won't be released until 2023 at the earliest. In all honesty, and we hate to be the bearers of bad news here, you shouldn't realistically expect it until 2024. But we will keep you updated as soon as we hear even the slightest bit of news.
