What is the Rocket League Solo Standard Playlist?
Rocket League's Solo Standard Playlist was a game mode wherein players could only queue as a singular player, instead of in groups of one, two, or three. Thus, unlike in normal standard, a solo player would be up against opponents whom are also playing solo, and would not end up against a well coordinated team of two or three players. It was pretty neat, to be honest. It had a few problems, but we'll get into that later, hold onto your pants.

Where is Rocket League's Solo Standard Playlist?
The Solo Standard Playlist was removed in the Free to Play update, back in 2020. Competitive Standard has been continued, as have most other playlists, but we're sorry – if you like Solo Standard, then Epic Games have kind of screwed you over. Well, it could have been Psyonix, we don't know... but blaming Epic Games is fun, so let's just go with that!
Jesting aside (not really), it's actually not so bad that Rocket League's Solo Standard playlist was removed. It might be annoying for some players who were seeking a bit of a safe haven from properly organized teams... but stop complaining, stop swearing at us, stop being foolish, just hear us out. This was for the best...
Why Was Rocket League's Solo Standard Playlist Removed?
Solo Standard was the most unpopular playlist in Rocket League, and a real waste of development resources. A fascinating article from Forbes back in January 2020 detailed this, alleging that – at the time of writing – only about 0.55% of players were actually using the Solo Standard Playlist. Does that sound like a very good use of time?
So why was it for the best that they removed Solo Standard? Well, it's pretty evident, you silly bozo. If no one is playing the bloody thing, then it is a waste of time to invest resources in maintaining it. It's no surprise that Rocket League's Solo Standard Playlist was removed. Now they can invest more time in everything else...
