Two-times champions of the Dota 2 International, OG were rather quick to fill the missing slots in their squad. Saksa and MidOne proved to be the final two pieces of the puzzle to solve the OG roster. But who are they?

Saksa

As we already knew, OG were missing positions 3 and 4 in their lineup. Coming up as the second support for the team is Martin “Saksa” Sazdov. The Macedonian player has been part of numerous teams and is no stranger to playing with the best Dota 2 has to offer. He last played for Ninjas in Pyjamas along Peter “PPD” Dager, competing at the top level.

He has also been a coach at some point, so his expertise is even broader than the average player. Saksa is also the tallest player in competitive Dota 2, standing at the impressive 203 cm. Jesse “JerAx” Vainikka who recently retired from Dota 2 left some really big shoes to fill and it’d be up to Saksa to live up to the task.

MidOne

Another foe-turned-friend is Yeik “MidOne” Nai Zheng. The Malaysian Dota 2 player has been part of only two teams but they’re both high-profile – Fnatic and Team Secret. MidOne became famous for his years spent in Secret where he played the mid-laner role. Together, they finished in fourth place at this year’s edition of The International. The team was making some changes and whether it was Zheng’s choice to find a new place or he was kicked remains unknown, but he’s now found a new home in the OG roster.

In OG, he’ll be making a switch from his main role and transition into the off lane. We can’t wait to see how that will turn out.

OG looking solid

In a matter of days, OGmanaged to gather up a team which at first glance has the potential to go big. The current OG roster for Dota 2 in order of position played is as follows:

  • Sumail “SumaiL” Hassan
  • Topias “Topson” Taavitsainen
  • Yeik Nai “MidOne” Zheng
  • Martin “Saksa” Sazdov
  • Johan “N0tail” Sundstein

With five out of five being top-tier players, the most important thing is finding that synergy. In the past, we’ve seen some great Dota 2 teams that should’ve been at the top but instead failed. Let’s hope that won’t be the case with OG.

Besides the other two active members, Sébastien “Ceb” Debs is still part of the team. The trio will surely be able to properly welcome their new teammates and give them a proper idea of what OG’s all about. February will be the month when we get to see the new iteration of OG in action as the qualifiers are rapidly approaching.

Good luck to them!
