Andor Season 2 Is Here – Will There Be A Season 3?

Andor might just be the best thing to come out of Disney’s Star Wars era – and now, after years of waiting, the story is back. Season 2 launches today and picks up right where the rebellion left off. But here's the big question: Is this the end?

When people think of Star Wars, typically Jedi and Sith come to mind. In a galaxy far, far away, people with access to the Force are usually the main characters. That's why Andor and the story of Cassian was such a refreshing change – and it was well received by fans for exactly that reason.

It’s been a long wait, but today is the day: Andor Season 2 has officially launched on Disney+. If you’ve been craving a return to the grittier, more grounded side of the Star Wars universe, now’s your time to dive back in.

Andor Season 2 – Release Schedule & Structure

The new season consists of twelve episodes, split into four story arcs. Each arc spans three episodes and covers one year in Cassian Andor’s life. That means season 2 will move us through four years of story – leading us straight into the events of Rogue One.

The episodes will be released as follows:

  • April 22, 2025: Episodes 1–3
  • April 30, 2025: Episodes 4–6
  • May 7, 2025: Episodes 7–9
  • May 13, 2025: Episodes 10–12

Expect Time Jumps And A Tight Rogue One Connection

According to showrunner Tony Gilroy, season 2 picks up one year after the season 1 finale. The plot then moves forward in yearly jumps until it reaches a point just days before the events of Rogue One. Every arc brings Cassian one step closer to the mission that will define his legacy.

This Is The End: No Andor Season 3

Season 2 isn’t just the continuation of Cassian’s story – it’s also the final chapter. There will be no third season of Andor. The series was always planned as a two-season arc, with a clear and direct lead-in to Rogue One. So what you're watching now is the endgame. No filler, no dragging things out – just the conclusion of one of Star Wars’ boldest stories.
