Sony's PlayStation joins the global efforts in the fight against COVID-19 and the encouragement of staying at home by providing two excellent titles for free.

This time, we’re happy to report a different kind of coronavirus news – instead of cancelations, we’ve got free stuff!

In a blog post on the PlayStation website, Sony Interactive Entertainment President and CEO Jim Ryan announced the Play at Home initiative. He stated this:

“People all over the world are doing the right thing by staying home to help contain the spread of COVID–19. We are deeply grateful to everyone practicing physical distancing and take our responsibility as a home entertainment platform seriously, so we are asking our community to continue supporting the safe choice and the need to Play At Home."

The special complimentary bundle is already available for all PlayStation users to claim and will stay until May 5, so you’ll have plenty of time to go get it. All you need to do is go to the PlayStation Store or follow this link and get the two titles for your digital collection.

The two Play at Home games are absolute PlayStation classics.

Journey is a critical darling that defined a whole console generation and showed what a small indie studio is capable of: its signature soundtrack song I Was Born For This topped the iTunes charts when it came out. The game only recently made it to a PC port through a deal with the Epic Store.

Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection is one of PlayStation’s hottest series of games and a total system seller. This bundle includes Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, and Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception - titles that many gamers will want to replay with the approach of the upcoming Holywood movie based on the franchise starring Tom Holland, Mark Wahlberg, and Antonio Banderas.

Most hardcore PlayStation fans probably own these titles already, but nevertheless this is a great gesture on the side of Sony. And those gamers who’ve never tried these classics now have no excuse! For more positive gaming news in these unpleasant times, keep it right here on EarlyGame!
