WoW Shadowlands will bring many changes to World of Warcraft including new updates to the rather old character customization screen. A newly updated polygon count and 100’s of options will be available for your WoW character. You can start the new expansion in style. What will you create?
Blizzard has announced that with the Shadowlands pre-patch players can apply new looks to their existing WoW characters or newly created ones. The pre-patch should come sometime next week so pay attention to your Blizzard launcher.
Your character can be customized in two ways:
- Start a new character and you'll be greeted by the new customization screen that has been fully revamped.
- Visit a barber located in your factions’ capital city and apply numerous new and updated features to your character’s in-game appearance and even change their gender.
New Character Customization Screen
The character creation screen where you make and customize a new character has undergone a complete transformation. Blizzard says this:
There are race portraits on either side of the screen and class icons displayed along the bottom. When you select a class, the character displayed springs into action with a flashy animation that captures the essence of the class—Rogues Shadowstep across the screen and unleash a Fan of Knives, Shaman makes the ground around them erupt with the fury of the elements, and Priests levitate toward the heavens to embrace the Light.
You can now customize a long list of features depending on the race of your new character: skin tones, hairstyles, eye colors, pupils, glowing eyes, tattoos, jewelry, armlets, wristbands, beards, scars, flowers to ornament their hair and more. The possibilities seem endless but are still limited to the race of your character, so no humans with purple glowing demon hunter eyes, sorry role players.
