The Best Warzone Vargo-S Loadout | Volk 2.0

The Vargo-S was introduced in Warzone Season 4: Reloaded, and it's most similar to the Volk in that it's a very mobile AR, but it suffers at range. A hybrid SMG/AR if you will. Here's the best Vargo-S loadout for you.

As the devs have described, the Vargo-S trades firepower for accuracy:

Accuracy is king with the Vargo-S Assault Rifle, paired with a high fire rate for added aggression. Though outclassed in power, its reliability finds success in a variety of Gunsmith configurations, from fast-handling and snappy for tight mid-range play to adding a scope and additional stability to better compete from a distance.

Now, don't be afraid. This isn't a KG-M40 situation; the TTK is still good enough to compete, and the tradeoff for such mobility and low-recoil is worth it. Especially for players who enjoy "flex weapons" like the Volk. Of course, you'll need to know exactly how to build it, and that's where we come in. Here is the best Vargo-S loadout in Warzone.

Note: We don't advise using this weapon on Caldera, it's more suitable for Resurgence.

How To Unlock The Vargo-S

You can use the Vargo-S by buying a blueprint for it in the store (1200 CP / $10), but to truly unlock it and customize the attachments you need to complete one of three challenges. One of the challenges can be completed in Vanguard Zombies, another in Vanguard Multiplayer, and one in Warzone. As per usual, completing the Warzone challenge is much more difficult and time-consuming than the options available to Vanguard owners. We would recommend doing the Vanguard multiplayer change by chaining Small Map Madness games.

Here are the challenges:

  • Vanguard Multiplayer: Get 15 Close Range Kills.
  • Vanguard Zombies: Use Assault Rifles to kill 20 or more enemies without getting hit 50 times.
  • Warzone: Get 15 Close Range Kills.

Good luck unlocking the Vargo-S!

What we're trying to do here is quite simple: up the magazine capacity and mobility, but keep the recoil as low as we can. So we're going for the longer barrel and the underbarrel grip, and we'll throw on one of the recoil-reducing suppressors.

The Best Secondary, Grenades & Perks For A Vargo-S Loadout

The Best Secondary Weapon For The Vargo-S

With the Vargo-S being fairly capable at short and mid-ranges, we would advise most players to go with a pistol as their secondary. And what better option than Vanguard's version of the .357 with snakeshot? This is a great secondary weapon for super close range, but you can drop the Top-Break for an SMG as soon as you find a one in ground-loot.

The Best Equipment For The Vargo-S

LethalSemtex
TacticalStims

Stims are a natural choice with Snapshot grenades being nerfed recently. Even if you can't pop a Stim off during a fight, you've basically got a gas mask worth of protection when the circle closes. And alongside Stims we recommend Semtex as a great do-it-all lethal choice. You can stick these to vehicles, downed enemies and even enemy field upgrades.

The Best Perks For The Vargo-S

Perk 1Serpentine
Perk 2Tempered

Perk 3

Combat Scout

This is pretty much the perk meta right now. Serpentine is frankly broken, and we're surprised it was even allowed in the game (older readers will remember the dark days of Juggernaut in the older CoDs). We recommend Tempered, especially for aggressive players who over-chall and need to reset. And then alongside these perks we've gone for Combat Scout as you'll be using the Vargo to do it all with this loadout.

That was your complete guide to the best Vargo-S loadout. We hope you found it helpful, but if you still don't like the Vargo, why not take the Volk for a spin? It's a weapon that can pressed into the same roles as the Vargo, but might feel nicer to some players.

It certainly won't be making it's way on to this list...
