Warzone Pacific, despite it's initial stability issues, has continued to receive new content. In this article, we're going to provide you with absolutely everything you need to know about the new season.

If you're always looking to improve, and this is the season you're going to really grind, then allow us to help with our rundown of the best guns in Warzone.

Warzone Season 4 Release Date & Time

Warzone Season 4 will be released on June 22 at 10:00 PT (13:00 ET, 18:00 GMT, 19:00 CEST). And don't worry, a preload will be available before launch, usually about 24 hours before release, although this varies.

Warzone Season 4 Trailer & Roadmap

The Season 4 trailer is quite action-packed but doesn't give us loads of details:

This new season will pull away from the serious plot that involved Nazis and Nebula 5 gas in Season 3. Season 4 is instead about mercenaries and lost gold.

Here's the Roadmap, then we're going to break everything down for you in even more detail...

Warzone Season 4 Content

This season's biggest new content offerings come in the form of maps and map changes. Most importantly we're getting a new map for resurgence called Fortune's Keep, and you can read all about that here. Besides this new map, Caldera is getting a facelift; 50% of the vegetation will be removed and more POIs will be added, including Storage Town.

Alongside the new map and map changes, we're getting some new modes, a couple of new types of contracts, armored SUVs, deployable redeployment balloons, and EMP grenades. As well as the usual addition of new operators and weapons.

New Warzone Weapons Coming On-Launch

With Season 4, we're getting a very mobile SMG and an LMG. Here are the new guns:

Marco 5 Submachine Gun

This new SMG is available at launch, and based on the description we think it will be popular amongst higher-skilled players. It's a weapon that will require you to have cracked out movement to be very useful with, but if you can glide across the map, this weapon sounds perfect. Here's how it's officially described:

A high mobility submachine gun, accurate from the hip with excellent close-range stopping power.

To unlock this weapon you will need to reach level 15 or 31 on the Battle Pass.

UGM-8 Light Machine Gun

Coming out at launch, we have a new LMG. LMGs are rarely popular in Warzone unless they're absolutely broken, like the Bren was over Christmas, but Raven probably don't want a repeat of that meta, so we don't expect this weapon to get much attention. Here's how they describe the UGM-8:

High fire rate, mobile LMG that excels at creating suppressing fire and pushing enemy positions.

To unlock this weapon you will need to reach level 15 or 31 on the Battle Pass.

New Warzone Weapons Coming Later In Season 4

Push Dagger

The push dagger is a melee weapon. It's meant to be a stealthy version of a melee weapon, but honestly, it's just a melee weapon at the end of the day. So none of you will use it, except maybe one guy who likes to flex on downed players.

Here's how we'll need to unlock the Push Dagger when it is released:

Game Mode Challenge
In WarzoneGet 5 Melee Kills with a Primary Weapon in a Single Match 15 times
In Vanguard MultiplayerGet 5 Melee Kills with a Primary Weapon in a Single Match 15 times
In Vanguard ZombiesGet 100 kills with a Melee weapon while shrouded by your Aether Shroud.

Vargo-S

The Vargo-S is an assault rifle (which is basically the Vargo-52 from BOCW). It will be meta when it's released, we presume, but we won't get our hands on it just yet.

We haven't yet been told how we'll need to unlock the Vargo-S when it is released.

New Warzone Operators

In Season 4, there will be three new operators who will form a new squad. The names of the operators were announced in the Season's press release. These operators will also grant you an additional 10% XP for their preferred weapon.

The operator's favourite weapons can be a huge help with the weapon grind. For more tips & tricks to grinding, check out our complete guides on the subject. One for Vanguard Multiplayer, another for Vanguard Zombies, and a third for Warzone. Now we'll cover the new operators in a little more detail...

Carver Butcher

Butcher is the Captain Price of Vanguard. He's the leader in all the cinematic, and it's his voice you hear making announcements in multiplayer. Butcher is certainly less iconic than Price, but he's got his fans. This is how he was described in the press release:

Butcher served in the British Army during Operation Devon, battling against the 16th Panzer Division. He was dismissed after sustaining injuries to his face from exploding shrapnel but returned to the front lines soon after. There he witnessed resistance fighters in action.

Callum Hendry

Hendry is a kooky old Scotsman who trains the world's first generation of special forces. This guy is bound to have some fantastic skins soon. Here's how he's officially described:

All his life, Callum was a showoff, getting into trouble with neighbors, the law – everyone. His unwavering spirit helped him quickly ascend the ranks of the British Army to eventually become a recruit trainer. In World War II, Callum, harboring deep hatred for Nazis and their ideals, fought hard for a future without them. Currently he is the trainer for all S.O.T.F. agents.

Ikenna Olowe

Ikenna is a master strategist who helps the team plan and prepare for every mission. We don't know much as this operator is coming midseason, but here's how he's described:

Ikenna Olowe understood strategy from a young age. As a child in Nigeria, he excelled at chess, quickly surpassing his teachers. He grew strong studying Gidigbo, a martial battle of wits. Balances in body and mind, Ikenna joining the war effort as a battlefield engineer. His work established critical supplies lines across the globe. Ikenna became a grand planner. Knowing when to build and when to demolish.

New Warzone Items

Season 4 brings a total of 2 new items to the game:

Portable Redeploy BalloonsThese can be thrown down anywhere (as long as your not inside a building), and they'll open up redeploy balloon for you to use.
EMP GrenadesEMP grenades will stop vehicles and remove enemy players HUDs for a short period of time.
ATMsATMs are exclusive to Plunder, and they're basically just a special type of crate that only gives money.

New Warzone Modes

There will be 4 new modes introduced this season:

Coming on-launch:

  • Fortune's Keep Resurgence:
  • Golden Plunder LTM: The Blood Money experience with more competition and a lot more glitz. Sere are some of the changes players can expect to see:
    • Player count increased to 120, up from 100
    • Players drop more Cash on death
    • Cash required for Victory increased to $5,000,000

Coming midseason:

  • Titanium Trials: We don't have specifics, but this is basically going to be an even more hardcore version of the Iron Trials.
  • Rebirth of the Dead: This mode is very mysterious, and we've only been told it's coming, but one can assume it will involve zombies...

New Warzone Map Changes

Fortune's Keep

A new map is coming, and it won't replace Rebirth, but it will be resurgence only. Here's a complete guide to the new Fortune's Keep map.

Caldera Updates

Caldera will be getting its river's emptied, and 50% of the vegetation will be removed. They're also adding a number of new smaller POIs, including Storage Town from Verdansk.

New Warzone Battlepass

Every season of Warzone brings a new Battle Pass of 100 tiers, each with their own rewards, and this season is no different. As always, there will be some good blueprints and a lot of double XP tokens, so we would recommend it to most players. The Battle Pass costs 1000CP, ($10) or 2400CP if you want to skip the first 20 tiers.

It's also worth mentioning that the Battle Pass gives you back CP as a reward for reaching certain tiers. If you complete the whole thing and reach tier 100 then you earn a total of 1300 CP. So you actually gain 300 CP if you play enough to get to tier 100 each season.

Best Meta Weapons for Season 3

The Meta Long-Range AR: NZ-41

NZ 41 Class

The NZ throws bricks like the Bren did. Sure, it's not as fast or mobile as some ARs, but it's TTK is just so damn good, and there's almost no recoil. This makes for a perfect AR. When you just need a single primary for your Restock loadout, the NZ's versatility makes it the perfect choice. Here is our best NZ-41 loadout.

Note: You might favor the 2.5x G16 to the above build, but try both out and see what you prefer.

The Meta Sniper: ZRG 20 mm

It's sad to see the relatively poor Vanguard snipers getting so little use, but the facts are simple: with ADS times of over 500ms, they simply can't compete with the older BOCW snipers. In any sniper duel, ADS will always be king, and right now that makes the ZRG meta by default (assuming we only include the snipers that can actually one-hit-down enemies at any range). Here is the best ZRG loadout.

When is the Next Season?

Warzone Season 5 will arrive in mid-August. Until then, you have time to grind out the Battle Pass for the new Season 4 weapons.

Smaller balance patches are implemented each week, usually on Wednesdays at 13:00 ET (18:00 GMT, 19:00 CET). But for the full patch notes and our analysis on these changes week-by-week, check out our hub article on the weekly updates.
