This month, we're giving it to Toronto Ultra's Cammy, who made the most impactful plays at the Call of Duty League's opening weekend and gave us one of the best Hardpoint matches in recent history.
I think every audience member must have been surprised by how thrilling the first weekend of the CDL was. This was supposed to be a run-of-the-mill pre-season event, and for a game that the comp scene didn't even seem thrilled about. But what we saw on the final day, especially in the matchup between the L.A. Thieves and Toronto Ultra, was phenomenal. And thanks to Cammy, we got to witness one of the best clutch turnarounds in CDL history. Toronto Ultra went on to win the event, again, thanks to some great plays from Cammy, and so it would really be pretty bizarre if we picked anyone else for our January Player of the Month (Sorry Drazah, we love the Alaskan Assassin, but maybe next month).
Who Is Cammy?
Cammy is a Scottish pro CoD player who's been on the Toronto Ultra roster since late 2019. He's been a solid player on one of the best teams for years now, but even still, this was a standout performance from him. Also, and we admit this is less relevant, but he seems like one of the nicest dudes in the CDL who has a great attitude and sense of sportsmanship. And in this league, you can't take that for granted…
Anyway, Cammy is grinding hard every day, so you won't catch him around as much as a streamer, but here are his socials:

Why Is Cammy Our Call of Duty Player Of The Month?
I could go on about how the Ultras had a great 2021 Season, and how they seemed to have all the fundamentals down for Vanguard, but just watch the damn clip:
That's why Cammy is our Player of the Month. Seriously, can you remember a Hardpoint match that close in pubs? Let alone the semi-finals of a LAN event…
Cammy is an SMG-slayer, meaning in the current Season he'll be using an MP40 pretty much every time you see him.
