While Caldera is still going strong and getting new updates, many fans are clamouring for the upcoming Warzone 2. We don't have many infos on the sequel to CoD's battle royale yet, but more and more leaks and reveals keep coming up. We have another one of those here today. A reliable leaker claims to have first details on the map of Warzone 2! Here's everything we know so far.
Is The Warzone 2 Map Set in South America?
This leak comes courtesy of @TheGhostOfHope on Twitter. They have revealed many details on MW2 and Warzone in the past and have come back with another banger. According to the leak, the Warzone 2 map will be strongly inspired by the Colombian city of Medellin. This sounds super cool! Check out some images for reference in this tweet:
This doesn't just look absolutely gorgeous, but also absolutely perfect for a battle royale map. We have tons of verticality with the mountains, including a cable car which would be a guarantee for ridiculous and fun plays. You also have different types of environments, with large bodies of water surrounding a hill and distinct types of urban environments, some of which remind us of the iconic Favela map from the original MW2. If Infinity Ward really put all of that into the new BR map, then we're in for an absolute treat.
Raven Software and Treyarch recently revealed the roadmap for the upcoming Season 3 of Warzone as well as Call of Duty: Vanguard. While we can expect Modern Warfare 2 to come out this year, we don't know when Warzone 2 is going to be released. From everything we heard so far though, we are very excited for Infinity Ward's new vision of a Call of Duty battle royale.
