The Best Warzone Lachmann Shroud Loadout | Is The MP5SD Good?

This is one of the most unashamedly lazy things CoD has done this year: The devs just slapped a suppressor on the MP5 and called it a "new weapon" for the Season 5 Reloaded update. At this point, they should just tell us we aren't getting new weapons every season. Anyway, it's called the Lachmann Shroud and here's the best loadout for it.

Warzone and MW2 Season 5: Reloaded introduced the Lachmann Shroud. It isn't really a new gun, it's just an integrally suppressed variant of the MP5 we already have (the "Lachmann Sub"). It's sadly only a burst-fire or single-fire weapon, which is bound to be unpopular for an SMG, but it does have great damage values. In fact, the Lachmann Shroud has one of the best close-range TTKs in the game. If you don't mind single/burst fire weapons you should definitely at least try the Shroud.

Warzone 2 & Modern Warfare 2: How To Unlock The Lachmann Shroud (MP5SD)

To unlock the Lachmann Shroud you need to complete Battle Pass sector E0. You can see the other rewards in sector E0 above.

At least they made this weapon easy to get.

Because the Shroud is burst/semi-auto most people won't be able to use it effectively in close-quarters, and so we instead suggest using it more for the 15-35 meter range. Use it like you would a 74u or a Chimera, a sort of flex weapon between SMG and AR.

For that reason we have to find a compromise between improved handling and recoil control. Because we will need to sacrifice at least a little bit of speed for enough recoil control to reliably land shots at mid-range. Hence, the underbarrel and stock.

The Best Loadout For The Lachmann Shroud: Secondary, Perks & Equipment

Secondary: M4

Especially for Resurgence, we highly advise the M4 right now, which is fantastic at mid-range combat. This couples wonderfully with the Lachmann Shroud for more aggressive players.

Perks (Base, Bonus & Ultimate)

These are our favorite perks:

Base Perk

Bomb Squad, Overkill

Bonus PerkFast Hands
Ultimate Perk

High Alert

For Ranked play we would advise ditching High Alert for Ghost, but otherwise these are going to be the best perks for the average player.

Equipment (Lethal & Tactical)

For our equipment choice:

Lethal

Throwing Knives

Tactical

Smokes

It's the ol'reliable - Smokes and Throwing Knives. If you don't like knives go with Semtex, but whatever you do - don't ditch the smokes! And that about wraps it up for the Lachmann Shroud. It won't be popular, but we're so close to MW3 that the devs and the fans seem to care less and less about the current state of Warzone and MW2. Here's to hoping we have better weapons in MW3.
