Keanu Reeves is the latest celebrity that dreams of joining the MCU. Here's who he wants to play.
So, Hugh Jackman is coming back as Wolverine, simply because he's got a hard-on for the MCU. Can't blame the guy - the MCU does that to people. I mean, who would've thought Christian Bale would sign up, just to play a villain? Hell, Matt Damon plays a comedy-cameo... the MCU just has that kind of draw. Now, Keanu wants to join the historic cinematic universe by playing who fans always wanted him to play: Ghost Rider.

Not a big deal, it's just that Keanu Reeves as Ghost Rider was everybody's dream all along. Now, you're telling us that the man himself actually dreams of being Ghost Rider? Tell me which studio would say no to John Wick himself? Besides, Keanu has comic book experience - he wrote BRZRKR, and he's gonna star in the movie adaptation himself.
So when the certified comic book fan was asked if he would like to play Ghost Rider, here's what he replied:
10-year-old Reeves would want to — I think he'd probably want to be Ghost Rider.
That shouldn't just be music to my ears, that should be music to everyone's ears. Keanu taking over where Nicolas Cage left off? Uh... yes, please. Plus, Keanu can actually ride a motorcycle, wears leather jackets, and the man can fight for real. Basically he's the closest thing to real-life Johnny Blaze there is.
According to Reeves, other MCU roles were already offered to him, but he wouldn't reveal which ones. But... the man is certifiably smitten with the MCU:
It's really cool. I think the way that the Marvel films have developed and what they are is really spectacular and it would be great to be a part of that.
The only issue? Ryan Gosling and Norman Reedus have also expressed interest in the role. Now, Reedus kind of fits a similar mold as Keanu - the man's been riding motorcycles and rocking leather jackets for a minute - but Ryan Gosling? That would be taking Johnny Blaze into a much more... handsome direction. Especially since Ryan Gosling will be coming straight off of playing Ken in the upcoming Barbie movie.
