Ok... Tom Hardy didn't win a secret tournament, he secretly entered a tournament and won... minor difference, but I went for the better headline. Sue me, I don't care, because this is still incredible: An actor that, at 45-years-old, legitimately succeeds at martial arts to such an extent? I love that. Reminds me of when Idris Elba won a professional kickboxing fight at roughly the same age, but let's look at what exactly it is Tom Hardy accomplished here.

If you didn't already know - Tom Hardy has been doing BJJ for quite some time now, and if you giggled at 'BJJ', then that means you're not familiar, so allow me to enlighten: BJJ stands for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and it's the cornerstone of MMA.

The tournament that Hardy entered was not a major event, but still a high-level competition and Tom Hardy ended up winning all his matches on road to winning the entire event. So... this marks the second BJJ event that Tom Hardy won this year, meaning this guy is certifiably legit.

If you're wondering how Tom Hardy fell in love with the sports, than look no further than his 2011 movie 'Warrior' - in fact, if you haven't seen it yet, it's an absolute must-watch. Here's what Hardy had to say about the movie:

I came back a different man from when I went away to Warrior. I picked up an awful lot... the stunt team were incredible, and all the fighters that came in, all the other actors. It was a tremendously, potentially testosterone-fueled set of men, and it was a potentially testosterone-fueled environment that turned out not to be that bad at all. What I thought was going to be very intimidating turned out to be an incredible passage of rites. But it was very gentle, very encouraging.
