When Will Smith walked up on to that stage he probably thought that he was completely justified, and that this show of strength was simply what a man should do for his wife. Well...some people saw it like that...but most folks just saw assault. Hence, he was banned from the Oscars for 10 years. And that wasn't the end of it. No, things went from bad to worse for the superstar, and now he's facing a very muted end to an otherwise fantastic career. Looking back, he probably regrets it about as much as Kim Kardashian regretted her past mistakes when a recent Roblox add popped up in front of her son...
More Projects Cancelled For Will Smith
As reported by the Deadline, the stand-up comedy series produced by Smith, This Joka, will not be returning to Roku for a second series. This Joka was produced by Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith’s Westbrook Studios and Topgolf Entertainment Group, but it failed to wow audiences. Which is sad really, because the show had potential:
The show featured a diverse lineup of up-and-coming, established, and legendary comedians exploring the nature of comedy and its unique ability to bring people together. Shot on location at Topgolf and other popular venues across Las Vegas, the series showcased stand-up sets, as well as one-on-one conversations between Smith and the comedians, intimate interviews, and docu-style moments backstage and around the city.
In retrospect though, Will is probably glad he won't have to face the disappointed stand-up comics on the show.
