The Fortnite Ranked system was only introduced to Fortnite at the end of Chapter 4 Season 2 and serves as a competitive replacement for the deleted Arena mode. Some fans like the new mode, some are rather less enthusiastic.

But at least there is a mode in which players can compete. But now, shortly after the Ranked system came to Fortnite in the first place, it has already been deactivated again. We have the details.

Fortnite Ranked Temporarily Disabled

On 20 June, patch 25.10 was supposed to just reset every player's rank so that the grind could fairly start all over again for everyone. But players noticed shortly after the patch's release that Ranked mode had been completely removed from the game.

The official Fortnite Status Twitter account commented shortly after the update:

We’ve temporarily disabled Ranked Battle Royale and Ranked Zero Build while we investigate a crashing issue. We’ll provide an update when Ranked is available again.

After almost 10 hours later nothing happened and players became more and more impatient, they spoke up again:

We are continuing to investigate the crashes in Ranked Battle Royale and Ranked Zero Build. The modes have been disabled again and we will provide an update when we have more information.

Since then, there has been no further update on the Ranked system in Fortnite.

When Will Fortnite Ranked Be Enabled Again?

So far, there's no info from Epic on when the Ranked system for Battle Royale and Zero Build will be re-enabled. However, we know that the company is working on the issue, so it shouldn't be too long before Ranked is available again in Fortnite.

We will keep you updated as soon as we know more.
