In Final Fantasy 16, you can craft some super valuable items but only if you are ready to take on the grind and farm all the needed materials first! This time, we take a look the Drakeslayer's Belt, Drakeslayer's Bracelets, and Excalibur! What all these items have in common is one special ingredient: Scarletite!
In Final Fantasy 16, the Drakeslayer's Belt, Drakeslayer's Bracelets, and Excalibur are crafted with Scarletite. Luckily, you only need one Scarletite for each item you want to craft!
Unfortunately, even these few pieces are somewhat of a challenge to get in the first place. To make it a little easier for you, we gathered some useful Information on how to obtain said valuable resource in no time!

Final Fantasy 16: How To Get Scarletite
Even though Scarletite is a very valuable resource, there are a few different ways to get this valuable material.
The Hunt Board
After you unlocked the Hunt Board, you have access to Notorious Marks. A Notorious Mark is a particularly fast, dangerous and big enemy, which is much harder to defeat than normal monsters.
However, after overcoming these difficult challenges, you will also be rewarded appropriately, with especially valuable treasures. Some of these marks even reward us with Scarletite!
The following Notorious Marks have Scarletite as quest reward:
- Dozmare – Rank B / Level 28
- Fastitocalon – Rank B / Level 34
- The Ten of Clubs – Rank B / Level 35
- Holy Trumpitour – Rank B / Level 36

Side Quest: Hot Water
Even some side quests will reward you with Scarletite! A good starting point would be the side quest “Hot Water”. This quest can be started in Dhalmekian Republic's Dalimil Inn at an NPC named Xaver.
Completing said quest is fairly easy and Xaver will hand over the Scarletite right after you finished your job!
