Uncharted & God of War Are Coming to Mobile

Sony has pledged to bring many of its IPs to mobile, and it seems like God of War and Uncharted might be making the jump.

Sony wants to adapt some of its IPs to platforms that are not the PlayStation – that's not exactly news. PC gamers already got their fair share of former Sony exclusives, and now it seems like the mobile market is next.

Will God of War & Uncharted Come to Mobile?

There are several reasons as to why we're assuming Sony is looking to shake things up. One reason is their soon-to-be-revealed streaming service. Another obvious hint is the patent for a mobile Dual Shock controller. The most revealing hint comes from Sony themselves: In a job listing from April, they were looking for a Head of Mobile to "lead the development and strategy of mobile gaming and help shape the future of gaming for a world-class studio".

The fact that this job listing is a couple of months old gives it even more validity, since Sony has just recently revealed their mobile controller patent, which proves that they've been hard at work on the mobile front. Here are some more details from the job listing on what the Head of Mobile is expected to do:

“You will lead all aspects of the expansion of our game development from consoles and PCs to mobile & Live Services with a focus on successfully adapting PlayStation’s most popular franchises for mobile."

If we're talking about Sony's most popular IPs, then games like Uncharted, God of War and Gran Turismo are some of the first to come to mind. Whichever IPs Sony chooses to port, it'll be a great time for mobile gamers, since Sony boasts some of gaming's best single-player experiences.
