Overwatch 2 will launch in less than a week, so it's a good time to take a look at how the heroes will change in Overwatch 2.

Overwatch 2 is waiting in the wings. Not only will we get three entirely new characters, but also some major reworks for existing heroes. Characters like Bastion, Orisa or Doomfist will get huge changes, whch will make the gameplay feel very different from what we are used to. Bastion

General:

  • Cute new hat :)
  • Removed: Tank-Mode, Self-Repair
  • New ability: A-36 Tactical Grenade, Artillery Strike (New Ultimate): fire up to 3 long range artillery shells

Sentry Form
  • 35% reduced movement speed
  • 6-second duration and 12-second cooldown
  • infinite ammo
  • damage reduced from 15 to 12
Recon Form
  • weapon damage increased from 20 to 25
  • fire rate reduced from 8 to 5 shots per second
  • weapon spread removed
  • ammo reduced from 35 to 25
A-36 Tactical Grenade (NEW)
  • can bounce off walls but sticks to players or the ground
  • dealing up to 130 damage

Brigitte

Cassidy

General:

  • Removed: Flashbang

  • deals 131 damage
Deadeye
  • 40% damage reduction while channeling the ultimate
  • 130 damage-per-second for the first 2 seconds and then 260 damage-per-second
  • duration increased from 6 to 7 seconds

D.Va

General:

  • Base Health increased from 300 to 450
  • Base Armor reduced from 300 to 200

  • primary fire movement penalty reduced from 50% to 40%
  • weapon spread reduced from 4 to 3.5

Doomfist

General:

  • Health increases to 450
  • New ability: Power block
  • Moved from Damage to Tank role

  • ammo recovery increased to 0.4s
  • damage reduced from 6 to 5 per pellet
Rocket punch
  • max. charge time reduced to 1s
  • impact damage reduced to 15-30
  • wall slam damage reduced to 20-40
  • impacting a target now causes a secondary larger cone area check to grab extra targets to potentially knock them back as well
Seismic Slam (NEW)
  • is now ability 1
  • launches Doomfist into the air in the direction the player is aiming
  • dealing 50 damage and slowing enemy movement speed by 30%
  • no longer pulls in enemies
  • can be canceled
Meteor strike
  • reduces movement speed by 50% for all enemies hit
  • outer ring damage reduced to 100-15
  • activation time reduced to 5s

General:

  • Base armor increased from 200 to 250
  • Base health increased from 200 to 250
  • Removed: Protective Barrier, Supercharger, "Halt!"
  • New Abilities: Energy Javelin, Javelin Spin, Terra Surge (new ultimate)

Augmented Fusion Driver (NEW primary)
  • rapidly fires 10 plasma projectiles per second
  • damage starts at 10.5 and scales down to 4 damage over 35 meters
  • uses a heat mechanic instead of ammo
Energy Javelin (NEW)
  • deals 80 damage
  • stuns enemies for 0.2 seconds and knocks them back 6 meters
  • if enemy collides with wall while knocked back, they take 40 more damage
Fortify
  • gains 125 temporary health
  • slowing down 20%
  • reduces heat from fireing by 50%
Javelin Spin (NEW)
  • increases movement speed by 60%
  • dealing up to 90 damage and knockback

Pharah
