Getting to know Andreja in Starfield, a romanceable companion, will eventually unlock the Divided Loyalties side quest. During that side quest, you'll meet Andreja's old mentor, Tomisar. After some time, this meeting escalates, and you'll be left standing between two options: should you kill or spare Tomisar?
Starfield offers quite a few companions that you can choose to take along on your exploration of the galaxy. Some of these companion characters can even be romanced, like Andreja for example.
Andreja is a part of the Constellation faction that you'll meet during the main campaign of Starfield.
If you decide to get to know Andreja a little better, she'll tell you more about her past and her regrets, and you'll start building a closer relationship with Andreja. After a while you'll unlock the Divided Loyalties companion quest where you'll set off to help Andreja find people from her past.
One of those people that Andreja is looking for is her old mentor Tomisar Ka’dic. Once you've finally found Tomisar at the end of Andreja's quest, one thing will lead to another, and you'll have to choose from three possible options: Should you let Andreja kill Tomisar, should you kill Tomisar, or will you spare Tomisar's life?
Starfield: Kill or Spare Tomisar
Andreja is still haunted by some ghosts from her past, such the ghosts from her past in the House of Va'Ruun. Andreja still has some unfinished business with her mentor and House Va'Ruun superior, Tomisar Ka'dic, which is why she wishes to go to the UCN-48 Starstation in the Murphid system to find and talk to him.
Eventually the situation becomes heated, and you'll either have to choose to talk Andreja out of killing Tomisar, kill Tomisar yourself or to spare Tomisar.
Whichever choice you make won't actually have any effect on the rest of the story, nor will it make an impact on Andreja and your relationship.
Each choice will have different consequences, but none have a grave impact on your Starfield playthrough. But, if you're still interested in what happens depending on your choice, here's what you can expect.
Let Andreja Kill Tomisar
If you let Andreja get her revenge and rid herself of the demons of her past, she will truly kill her former mentor as a consequence of how he has wronged her in life.
Her family will hear of this, and they will cut ties with Andreja. She will remain confident through her faith, since she believes that this is all part of the path that the Great Serpent has paved for her. With that, Andreja will return to her life as a crewmate and continue to live on without regret.
Kill Tomisar
Stopping Andreja from getting Tomisar's blood on her own hands and killing Tomisar yourself to get vengeance for Andreja will go smoothly.
After the deed is done, you'll explain to Andreja that you did it to prevent her people from seeing her kill in a bloody rage. In this case, the House of Va'Ruun will cut ties with Andreja, but she will remain confident in her future, and will thank you for your support throughout her quest.
Spare Tomisar
If you believe that shedding blood is not befitting of Andreja's personality, no matter if you kill, or she does, then sparing Tomisar will be the better option for you. After you decide to spare his life, he'll act all tough, but Andreja swears to report him to the high council of the House of Va'Ruun.
She'll feel uncertain afterward about her decision, but you can reassure her that her religious connection to the Great Serpent won't be tainted because of her choices. You can offer her to stay with her new family, the crew of the Constellation, and wait for her people to come to their senses.
At the end of the Divided Loyalties quest, you'll finally have the chance to romance Andreja, so if she tickles your fancy, definitely complete her companion quest!
