Baldur's Gate 3's release is just around the corner, at least for PC & PS5. Will Baldur's Gate 3 be released on Nintendo Switch as well for those of us without the suitable PC setup?
Baldur's Gate 3's hype is at its peak at the moment. Releasing on August 3 for PC, gamers can soon lock themselves away to their heart's content, leave society behind and live their best life as a wizard or warlock.
Console gamers will have to be a bit more patient as the PlayStation 5 release is set to be over a month later on September 6. But what about the handheld console folk?
- If you can't wait for the release, why don't you try out the first two Baldur's Gate games if you haven't yet?
Does Baldur's Gate 3 Release On Switch?
Asking about a port to Nintendo Switch isn't asking for too much, is it? It worked with Dark Souls 3, The Witcher 3 and many more – why not with Baldur's Gate 3?
There's disappointing news for Nintendo fans nonetheless: there is no Baldur's Gate 3 release for Nintendo Switch planned at the moment. The developers haven't outright denied a Nintendo Switch port down the line, but right now, only PC and PlayStation 5 gamers will get to play Baldur's Gate 3.
Not to crush your hopes and dreams, but maybe don't hold your breath for a port to Switch. I love Nintendo, I truly do, but the Switch's performance and resolution isn't the best out there – there's no saying that Baldur's Gate 3 would even work on the console without driving players mad.
- Personally, I'm still going the console route with this one and finally got my PlayStation 5.
