Finally, the wait is slowly coming to an end and fans are hyped to get their hands on the next chapter of Zelda. With the reveal of new content for the game, thanks to a 10-minute video from Nintendo, fans finally know what to expect from the upcoming game.

There was one feature though that has sadly made a return when literally no one asked for it, but we can't have everything, right Nintendo?

Zelda Tears of the Kingdom: Unwanted Feature Back In New Game

Zelda Tears of the Kingdom will be bringing back the highly disliked weapon durability feature. Players hated this feature, especially when they needed their weapons to do specific puzzle dungeons, but couldn't complete them due to a lack of weapons in the inventory.

Unfortunately, this will haunt us in TOTK once more... but it seems that Nintendo isn't completely heartless, because it looks like we will also be getting a new mechanic which should alleviate our Breath of the Wild PTSD at least a little.

The new feature called Fuse was shown off by Zelda series producer Eiji Aonuma. In the video Link was fighting a new enemy and viewers saw as his weapon broke within a few hits. This is where the new Fuse mechanic will come into play though.

With Fuse, players will be able to weld items, objects and weapons together to boost a weapon's durability. For example fusing a tree branch and boulder creates a makeshift hammer with more durability than a simple stick.

So, we might not be getting rid of the durability feature, but at least we will be able to use items to make our weapons better and stronger.
